Avis Harrell is beautiful, I should say amazingly beautiful and you cannot help but notice the beauty she radiates from the inside out. She is extremely photogenic and has several looks and styles. She changes with her mood and with the style and fashion industry. She dances with excitement while she performs. She moves with the sexiness of J. Lo, sings with the sultriness of Toni Braxton, the smoothness of Jill Scott and has the stature of Tina Turner. AVIS’ show has so much variety and she covers the complete gamete of music. While reminding us that R&B and Contemporary Urban music is her very first love and passion, Avis loves Jazz, Rock and Big Band standards mixed with a little bit of Blues. She says they all can be performed with a modern day twist and should not be a forgotten music. The music industry has a tendency to label artist. But AVIS should not be put in any one category. If I had to call her a Queen of something, it would be the “Queen of Versatility”, simply because she does them all so well.
